This French provincial kitchen is an elegant fusion of town and country design elements combined to create a timeless yet warm interior. The soft colour palette and the use of brass fitting of the tapware, handles and lighting compliments the overall design.
The original kitchen was dark and gloomy u shape with a hidden scullery. As huge entertainers the clients wanted a large island and openness to the kitchen, dining lounge area which flows out to a stunning courtyard overlooking the farm. We needed to incorporate a huge freestanding oven( 1200 wide ) and rangehood already purchased by the clients.
By removing the wall for the scullery and extending this area we have created a larger kitchen space with a separate nook for the prepping. The new layout is L shape with a fabulous large island with joinery on all sides creating a great work space for the family, a small seated area at one end so one can enjoy a quiet coffee in the am. The glass panelled doors add elegance to the prep nook ,the stunning granite tops finishes the look for this stunning renovation.
